There is this perception that we make all our money from one website but that’s not the case. Our money comes from a variety of pages from a variety of different sites. It’s the PAGES, not the sites that make us money.

We don’t think in terms of websites but pages. So one website might get a lot of traffic and it may look like some of the others don’t but looking at the websites as a whole is the wrong way to go about it. This is where we failed at the start. We had websites getting tons of traffic but not many sales. We couldn’t figure out why. However, when we started focusing on pages instead that’s when we started to see things happen.

We also have pages that don’t get a lot of traffic but it is highly targeted traffic and the conversions are excellent.

It could be one article or it could be hundreds. It depends on the competition and also the sites that your articles go on to. If they are strong sites then you will need less articles.

Hi. Great article. This did not disappoint. I needed someone that came from a ReviewAzon prospective to help me compare the two plugins and this is exactly what you provided. It seems like I have found my plugin, which is great news sine I have been doing product reviews all manually and this plugin will really help. For a few weeks now, I have wanted to use some sort of plugin to help me, but I was so overwhelmed by the options out there. Where to start and how to narrow down the list. Well, after reading a lot of articles, I had it narrowed down to two or three and this article has helped me in my final section. I know that there is not a rule of thump as to how many articles one should publish in order to rank ONE specific keyword in the top 3 spots of Google, but can you give us an average number? according to your experience in SEO, or maybe can you just give us a range? It’s REALLY helpful to have a general idea, especially when someone is outsourcing the writing of articles.

I know that there are some keywords that are harder to rank for, especially the general terms, unlike the more specific ones like product related keywords. I’m more interested in the latter.

Thank you Paula. This is very helpful to me. In the past, I have had a good amount of success getting pages to the first page of google but had a lot more difficulty getting the pages to the 1st 5 spots let alone the top 3. Of course, I had not done guest blog posts in the past either. I am hoping that this extra bit of link building makes the difference.

We would start writing for another keyword when the first keyword is ranked in one of the top 3 spots in Google.

And we would start another review when the first review is starting to make regular sales – this could be a sale a day for instance.

But if we felt that review had more potential then we would keep working on it until it made 5 sales a day. And if that happened, we might even continue to work on it because if we can make 5 sales a day we might even be able to make more especially if we had other keywords we hadn’t even started working on yet for that review.

We only ever accept one offer on the guest blog marketplace sites. The articles have to be unique so we only ever give the articles to one website. And we generally only go with sites with a pagerank 3 or up.

I have to agree Edie. If you are scrambling by the end of the week, you are taking on too much work. Just simplify it a bit and focus in a little more.
