Top 10 Blogs That Tell You How Much They Make Online

I am always in awe of those bloggers who are willing to reveal exactly how much they are making online. It’s a pretty brave thing to do really so I respect their honesty…that’s assuming they are totally honest about it and not just making it all up. I mean who hasn’t seen those landing pages where the writer gloats about making $386,212 in 5 minutes….hmmm, those I tend not to believe.

But there are some out there that look like they are giving us the real deal so I have listed them below:

1. The 45 Year Old Millionaire

I have been keeping track of Davids blog for some time now as it is interesting to read his monthly account of just how much he is making. His goal is to become a millionaire by age 45. I’m looking forward to seeing that day!

2. Caroline Middelbrook

Caroline reveals her earnings on a monthly basis and includes all sources of online income. She also includes traffic stats and subscriber stats.

3. David Risley

This is a great informational blog so well worth reading some of the other blog posts and not just David’s monthly reports.

4.  Deneil Merritt

Deneil provides one of the most comprehensive reports I’ve seen. It includes detailed traffic stats, the top 5 posts for the month, income and goals for the next two months.

5. Shout Me Loud

I like reading the monthly income reports from Shout Me Loud. The owner, Harsh Agrawal is honest and forthcoming about his experiences online.

6. Smart Passive Income

Pat gives a comprehensive monthly overview including not only income but a basic run-down of what he did over the month. A great read!

7. Blueverse

Ryan provides a basic breakdown of income for the month and also includes what he’s currently working on.

8. I Need Discipline

Another monthly income report, this time from Dean who provides a breakdown of income as well as whether his sources of income increased or decreased from the previous month. He also includes traffic stats.

9. My Tech Quest

Steve is the owner of My Tech Quest and provides an overview including traffic stats and income. He also discusses his goals for the next month.

10. Richard Bonner

Richard doesn’t provide a detailed breakdown but instead shows the amount earned and the amount spent for the month.

What Excuse Are You Using for Not Making Money Online?

Making money online is one of those truly unique methods for making a living. It doesn’t have to involve selling a physical product, it costs practically nothing to start, you can work from home, you can live anywhere in the world (as long as you have a good internet connection) and in a lot of cases you don’t need to work long hours to succeed.

A good majority of the population aspire to working online but never get any further than thinking about it.  And in most cases their thinking involves negative beliefs that keep them rooted to their 9 to 5 job. I’ve heard lots of excuses over the years – I don’t have the time – When my kids are bigger I might start looking into it – I spend all day on a computer at work, I don’t want to have to come home and do the same – I can’t type (hello!?…you only need 1 finger to type on a keyboard).

Every one one of these excuses is simply that – an excuse to keep that person from even trying. For most it is easier to not attempt something than to attempt it and fail. Their fear of failure keeps them stuck doing the same 9 to 5 job day after day. Unfortunately they don’t realise that the most successful people on this planet have failed again and again, but the difference between them and anyone else is that they see these failures as opportunities. They know that they can learn more from their failures than they can from their successes.

I think we’ve all heard by now the story of Thomas Edison who failed over 2000 times before he finally perfected the light bulb. Imagine if he had given up after the first failure? Would we all be sitting in the dark now? Probably not, as someone else who wasn’t afraid of failing would have taken over.

You only have to see a baby attempting to walk to see how this all works. They get up, take a step and fall straight back down again. But do they give up?…no way, they keep getting up and falling down until they take that second step and the third and before you know it they are walking across the room towards you. And the thing is, we expect them to fail again and again before they eventually start to walk properly. We don’t codemn them, or think they’re stupid or tell them to stop trying.  We know that the only way they will walk is if they keep trying.

So if you think about it why aren’t you doimg the same? What’s holding you back from taking the next step to making money online?

Let go of the fear and just do it. If you make a mistake then don’t beat yourself up about it – instead look at that failure and see how you can improve upon it. Just keep at it and you can only succeed.

Last week I started having problems sending emails to Yahoo email addresses. This started to become quite annoying and was starting to affect my online business. Whenever I sent an email it would bounce back and I would get the following message sent back:

5.1.0 – Unknown address error 554-’Message not allowed – [320]‘

I scoured the net looking for a solution but everyone kept saying that it was the ISP’s fault and that I should contact them to fix it. The only problem was that I didn’t really think it was my ISP’s problem only because I could send emails perfectly with my laptop. The problem only seemed to be occurring on my desktop PC.

But I emailed the support section of my internet service provider anyway just in case they knew something I didn’t. It wasn’t surprising when they came back and said that they couldn’t see a problem at their end.

So I put up with the problem for another few days and finally got my brother (who knows a lot more about computers than I do) to take a look.

Within a few minutes he had solved the problem and it was so simple. The date on my computer had been changed at some point and was showing a month ahead. This would have meant that any emails that I sent out would have been date stamped a month in the future. Obviously the Yahoo mail system doesn’t like this and so it bounced back my emails.

So problem solved and I am back to sending emails again.

Hopefully this will help anyone with the same problem.

Just Changed the Color Scheme and Header

Just a quick post about the color scheme change on this blog. I originally downloaded the Flexibility 2 WordPress theme but hadn’t done much about changing the default color scheme. Thought it was about time to do so.

I created a new header and changed the overall color scheme from red to blue. I liked the red but a lot of people who are using this theme have done the same as me and kept the red theme so it really needed a whole new color to make this blog unique.

I was originally going to keep the background in the dark grey color but it looked a bit flat and lifeless so I changed it to a gold color. Still not sure about it yet but I will take a look again in the morning with fresh new eyes to see if it looks a little off.

What do you think? Any suggestions about how to improve it or do you think it looks okay?
