This isn’t going to be a very long post because we are more interested in your input than what we have to say. We have decided to start adding tutorials to this website and it is important to us that we provide the information that you will find useful. After all there is no sense in us spending time providing lots of lovely content on something that you have no interest in.
These tutorials will be free to access and on subjects that you might need help in. We envisage that each of these tutorials will be self contained and very specific to a particular subject. In other words, you aren’t going to see tutorials on ‘how to make money online’ or ‘how to get traffic to my site’. Although those sorts of topics are relevant they are very broad and require a lot more than a simple tutorial to answer.
Instead, what we are after are tasks that you might have to perform in your day-to-day business online.
These are a few of the topics we had in mind but we would prefer your input:
- How to add a plugin to WordPress
- How to create a professional looking header for your WordPress blog
- How to create a custom menu in WordPress
- How to create a table in WordPress
- How to find the number of backlinks to your site
- How to use Google Analytics to find your top performing pages
- Blog Commenting 101
- How to install and use the TinyMCE Advanced plugin
- How to align an image in WordPress
- How to set up AWStats in Bluehost
Each of the tutorials that we add will in most cases include both a video and a written transcript. We realize that some people are visual and prefer a video but others prefer to read, so both options will be provided.
Since we have a diverse range of readers each with a differing skill base we expect that over time we will add a diverse range of topics from the very basic to the more advanced.
We also intend to add a beginners section for those who have never created a website and want to know how.
We will also be adding tutorials to our Affiliate Reviews HQ website and would like your input here as well. These will be specific product related tutorials on how to use some of the amazing affiliate tools available today. Here are a few examples of what we thought we might add:
- How to set up the Flexsqueeze theme
- How to create cool looking review pages with Flexsqueeze
- How to use SEMRush for keyword research
- How to create a custom home page using the Catalyst theme
- How to create affiliate links using the Ninja Affiliate plugin
- How to use ReviewAZON for creating manual Amazon product reviews
As you can imagine this will all take a bit of time but for starters we want to add the most requested tutorials so if you would like to see any of the above tutorials added or if you have any specific requests please let us know in the comments below.
UPDATE: We forgot to mention that these tutorials won’t be posted on to the main blog here. They will appear in a separate training section on this blog.

Wanda & Paula - 2 friends who successfully operate a number of online internet businesses. In fact we have over 20 blogs and websites making money. We have learnt a lot over the years particularly in the area of natural search, SEO
and traffic generation. If you want to make a living online then we are here to
help. 
I have a couple of ideas, although they may be both more oriented toward posts than tutorials. First – what are the pros and cons of the various types of business ownership as they relate to online businesses? Sole proprietor or LLC?
Second, what are the pros and cons of putting reviews on your personal blog vs setting up a separate review site? I’ve read the section in APP on this particular topic, but a little more detail would be helpful.

Two scenarios are a line is completely discontinued or a newer version of the product has come out since your review was created. There may be others.

I would really like to see a blog about developing traffic from conception, thru the first few posts and on. And PLEASE, something other than 500 words dancing around the phrase “Good Content” That is a gimme for anyone writing more that 5 posts. It has to be good or it dies, but what about great content that you can’t get out there? Not everyone is a web developer.
I think that those are some good suggestions – but there does seem to be a strong focus on the mechanics of running a WordPress blog. No doubt, many readers would benefit from this.
However, given that the blog is based on making money as an Amazon associate, I think it would be good to have some tutorials on selection of products to sell, what makes one product good and another less so etc.
Things like setting up your Amazon links properly might not be bad also (always surprised at how many people don’t seem to know how to do this).

I would love to see you get more indepth with the mechanics of putting together a good websites and the writing of a good review. What type of layout seems to work best? What does your page hierarchy look like? How many links? How many pictures? Word count?
An example of a real review site built using your tutorials would be an excellent visual addition to your tutorials, as well.
This would be of value to affiliate marketers of all levels, as even the more experienced marketers were hit by the recent updates to Google’s search algorithm.

The one thing I struggle with is making a web site look good. I can write content. My grammar is good. I can write php and mySQL and about 10 other languages. I can do anything in WordPress. I can write a reasonable review. I know the background – I follow James and Arlene as well as your excellent advice. I can do all of that, but I have about 25 sites and I don’t like the look of any of them. The only other thing I am good at is knowing my shortfalls!!
I agree with Hamish that Amazon based info would be great as well as a good fit for you guys!
WordPress stuff is often quite intuitive or covered by specialist blogs as well as the WordPress forums (IMHO!)
I am finding Amazon increasingly complicated to follow as they bring more and more into the ‘family’; even as a consumer (I just spent an hour choosing a product only to be told at basket level that it won’t ship to my country!)

I would love some tutorials on different traffic methods and not relying on the search engines. We know with all the different algorythym changes google makes, relying on it for traffic can make a person very nervous.

I would like to see some articles about an easy ways to get started with this that will allow someone with limited monitary resources to get started enough with your method so, as the bussiness grows he or she can re-invest and improve their site by updating it to include the current blueprint you are showing here.
The problem I see with your method and for that matter 90 % of what is being offered at this point in time is most authors are more concerned with setting up there next affiliate commision than really teaching a solid workable system, I understad the products you are promoting improve the learning curve and increase the chances of success but right now overall expence can keep some pepole for even being able to try this.
With the need to use some of these products to make the system work there are gapeing holes that need to be patched for some and they need your expertise to bridge them first even to get started unless they can miraculously stumble accross the solution there self
I know that if you are more webmarketer than concerned author, that your method is more about creating commission opportunities now and in the future than helping the average person out and helping them achieve their goals , every aothor I have read on this subject has promised alot in there sales letters but seem to be missing the overal point by using expensive themes and softwares to create there system, seeming to be missing the point that right now due to the global economic crisis and colapse , we are mostly looking for a way to achieve extra income, spare income or in many cases full time income to replace lost jobs and need their help with this to get started enough so a reinvestment later can improve the method as the money frees up.
are many pepole with families who can not afford a high priced theme and software, but might be able to pull off the minimal expences needed then re-invest and improve later. I am not asking for a hand out here I am asking if you would consider offering a hand up in either creating a new product with this information in it or creating an addendum product that would fill in those holes. a help section on your blog with some of this information for those who have already bought your product might be the way to go too, bridge this gap and create another group of individuals that know, like and trust you and you are going to be able to sell them anything you wish in the future, embrace this need because right now that is a new niche emerging in this economy.
Would you consider creating a product or giving tips on how this can be started with a minimal investment and then updated and improved when your bussiness allows it. I think if you offered such information you would be so bussy selling that product you might be suprised. talk about offering unique information to grow your blog and converting readers to customers, help them out and show your authority and you will be very more popular than you can imagine now.
Those are great topics to choose from but to be honest, i’d like to see a tutorial on how to optimize your page without violating the Google Panda update. There are a lot of post with regard to that topic online but most of them are generic. I’d like to see a real tutorial that deeply discusses the topic.

I agree with Jerry and Cathy, I think tutorials geared more towards backlinking and traffic are the way to go.
WordPress information and tutorials can be found anywhere and is something that’s fairly easy once you get the grasp of it.
I think backlinking and traffic generation is really where most newcomers get stuck, and I know it was certainly the biggest cause of frustration for myself.
I think your list was brilliant and I am looking forward to these tutorials.

Answering those kind of questions is a waste of time and reduces the quality of your blog. If you have a problem with a particular plugin or WordPress theme, Google is there to help you. There are tens of thousands of websites that cover that kind of information.
I just deleted 3 RSS feeds from successful money makers because they started posting boring content like that.
I’m here because this is one of the best websites about making money with Amazon. I don’t need a video and a 1000 word article telling me how to setup the Flexsqueeze theme or how to create affiliate links with the Ninja Affiliate plugin. If I have a question about those things, I’ll check the official forums or send a e-mail to the responsibles. I won’t wait until you publish an article here.
On the other hand, there aren’t many sites that show you how to be successful with Amazon. I’ll bet you get a tons of e-mail from people asking questions. Why don’t you answer 5-10 of those questions in a article and publish here, every now and then?

I don’t have much money laying around. I can only afford to outsource a few articles. A Poor Man’s Guide would be much appreciated.
Best places to get backlinks? What are your thoughts about Squidoo after the Google Panda update? What about Hubpages? Facebook? Twitter? EzineArticles? Forum profiles? I don’t have software that does all the heavy work for me, so I must to everything manually.

Since Google is still the big dog on the block as far as organic traffic to our sites, a good article on how to overcome the Google slap when they make algorithm changes, or updates on upcoming changes so we can be prepared, and make any necessary updates ahead of the change from google. Seems like I have to scour the Internet to get info on the latest panda update, what it’s attempting to do, and how to recover after the slap. Even links to sites with good information would be a huge help.

I use Weaver 2010 for all my websites, I need info on how to design headers in gimp. Like a reader said earlier, I also need an extensive article on traffic generation. I don’t have much money so I need info on what are the best sites to write free backlinks for. I already know about Hubpages, Squidoo, and Ezine. My biggest problem areas are traffic, website design, and changing the code on wordpress. Thank you
