Friday Round-Up of My Favorite Links

I have decided to start adding a regular Friday post with some of my favorite links for the week. So here is the first:
- What Shall I Include in My About Page? – Some nice tips here on the types of things you should be adding to your About page. This page can often get a lot of traffic but it is often neglected. It’s worth taking the time to create an outstanding About page.
- 5 Things That Will Change Your Life With Money – I like the Famous Debt Snowball which is a quick and easy method for getting out of debt.
- Comments – The Lifeblood of a Blog – A post about commenting including a list of the different types of comments and also some good tips on how to encourage quality comments on your blog.
- Slave of the Mind – An excellent post about living in the now. Walter talks about how our mind can enslave us through our emotions.
- Deep Linking Gives Old Posts New Life – An article about the importance of linking to old posts – something we personally don’t do enough of.
- Squeeze Page 101 – Are You Squeezing Your Email List? – Apart from the fact that Keller has featured our Squidoo 7 Day eCourse in this post, this is a really good article on squeeze pages.
- One Day Off Will Not Kill Your Blog – Take some time off now and then from blogging – as Brandon says in his post…’your blog won’t die’.

Thanks for the shout out on the deep linking post!
Gabe | freebloghelp.com´s last blog ..The 8 things your blog must have to make a good first impression
No problem Gabe – it was a reminder for me to start deep linking a little more.
Paula,
Thanks for the link back! Dave has such great advice.
Also, I like this favorite posts of the week idea. I am still developing my about page and it is going all over the place, so the link above gave me some new perspective to apply to it. I would not have found it without your highlight. Maybe I will actually finalize and publish it soon.

The About page is something we haven’t focused on a lot in the past. Even our niche product blogs are very weak in that department so it was good to be reminded of the importance of this page.
Nice list – Enjoyed the post by Andrew Rondeau on the ‘About Me’ page. My own about me page is lacking and he’s really nailed the what should simply be on your about me page.
What are your methods for finding posts for the week? Is it from your RSS feed, social media, or a mixture of many things? Just curious

Sarge´s last blog ..OMFG Just Stick To Your Goals!!
Well this is my first week for finding posts but what I did was add links from blogs I like to visit on a regular basis.
From today, I will start keeping track of particularly good posts I find on the net and just keep adding them to a draft blog post so that they are ready for Friday
Hey Sarge,
Thanks for mentioning my post – really appreciate it.
Andrew
Paula,
Thanks for mentioning my post! That’s great. I also loved Keller’s post on squeeze pages.
Thanks for sharing.

Andrew @ webuildyourblog.com´s last blog ..Your product does not have to be perfect
I enjoyed Keller’s post as well and you’re post got some good reactions in the comments here so well done!
Nice list, but my anal mind and eyes caught your typo in your first link on the word “include” lol
Mitch´s last blog ..How Do You Feel About Blog Podcasting?
LOL – thanks Mitch…I have changed it now.
Very nice round up, and I must commend you on it’s brevity (keeping it short).
Roundups of 30 or more are great resources, but somehow defeat the purpose of quick information.

Dennis Edell´s last blog ..How Do You Feel About A Static Homepage On A Blog?
I think I am going for quality vs quantity…that’s my excuse anyway!
Thanks Wanda and Paula for the free press
! I can’t wait to get your guest post on Squidoo – I just set up my first lens yesterday!
Keller Hawthorne´s last blog ..Squeeze Theme: Squeeze Page Creation Tool for WordPress
Thanks for visiting Keller and congrats on setting up your first lens!
The guest post is currently in progress so should be too you over the weekend.
